The beautiful bottles of Ancho Reyes at Alegrías

Ancho Reyes is a Mexican liquor house that comes from the city of Puebla, 2 hours drive from the capital. This brand is attracting growing interest among spirits lovers and mixologists around the world. Known for its rich and spicy flavors, it represents a fusion of tradition and innovation in the world of alcoholic beverages.

Ancho Reyes has its roots in the city of Puebla, Mexico, a region famous for the production of ancho peppers. In the 1920s, local pharmacists were already preparing artisanal liqueurs based on dried peppers and spices to create drinks with complex and intense flavors. Inspired by this tradition, Ancho Reyes liqueur was officially launched in 2013, bringing a modern touch to a historic recipe.

chaleur plus subtile.

Ancho Reyes offers two versions of his liqueur. Both from the poblano pepper, one is made from the dried chili called "chile ancho" the other from the fresh pepper "chile poblano" still green. Ancho liqueur offers a unique taste profile, with notes of caramel, cocoa and a hint of smoke, all wrapped in a spicy warmth. For its part, the "Green" liqueur is more lively, with vegetable and herbaceous notes and a more subtle warmth.

Ancho Reyes liqueurs are ideal to be enjoyed pure or in cocktails. At Alegrías, you can taste them alone or in our "Negroni Ancho" cocktail that combines the warmth of the pepper, the smoke of Mezcal and a fine bitterness of the red Mattei from Corsica.

See you at our Alegrias restaurant at 67 avenue Parmentier, 75011 Paris.
